Thanks to everyone who attended our annual bonfire last night, it was a huge success. Lots of people came along and it was fantastic to celebrate with our residents and their families and friends.
We’ve been holding this event for a few years now and each year it just gets better. It’s a great way to bring everyone together and encourage a community atmosphere in our centres. It’s organised by a team of us from Carrwood Park, and the estate’s dedicated farming team builds a huge bonfire for us every year - so a massive thank you to them too.
The evening started with complimentary refreshments in the Carrwood Suite served by our fabulous Centre Managers and our outside caterers, Wilsons. Guests from the NHS, Commercial, Connect Yorkshire, Sanako, Mayer Brown, Clever Accounts, Forward Ladies, Wolfstar, FTA Law and many more; feasted on pie and peas before wrapping up warm and making their way outside for the bonfire.
Once outside we awaited the firework display, which kicked off at 7. And what a display it was, 30 minutes of technicolour explosions and the obligatory ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the watching crowd.
I’m really proud of the unique events we put on for our residents, from our summer barbeque to our annual bonfire, they have so many benefits. They are a great way for businesses to meet, socialise and get to know each other. This has resulted in many of our residents working together on projects and using each other’s products and services.
